The ingredients needed to make Phirni Falooda Trifle:
- Take 2 Mangoes for puree
- Make ready 2 tbsp Sugar for Mango puree
- Prepare For Phirni
- Prepare 1.5 Ltr full Fat Milk
- Prepare 1 tbsp Basmati Rice (Phirni tastes best with Basmati rice)
- Get 100 gm Sugar
- Take 1 tsp Ghee
- Prepare Few drops of Rose water or essence
- Make ready as required Cardamom powder
- Prepare For Falooda
- Make ready 1/2 cup Vermicelli
- Get As required Water to cook
- Take For Toppings
- Get as needed Rooh Afza or Rose Syrup
- Get 1/2 cup finely chopped mangoes
- Make ready As required Chopped dried fruits & nuts(used dried Kiwi,Cranberries,Apricot)
Layer the falooda ingredients in a glass. Grab two tall, decorative glasses to serve your beverages in. Place a medium size cookie cutter on a serving platter, put in some biscuit crumb, press and demould. Falooda appears to have been introduced in India by the Parsis of Iran.
Instructions to make Phirni Falooda Trifle:
- For Phirni, Wash, Soak Rice for 1 hr and grind to a coarse paste using some milk.
- Add ghee in a heavy bottom pan, add milk, bring to boil & simmer on low heat for 10-15 mins.
- Add rice paste, stir continuously. Add rose water/essence & cardamom powder.
- Cook on low heat till milk reduced to half & phirni has thickened. (Keep in mind, it'll thickened more after cooling too)
- Chill it in refrigerator for 2 hrs at least.
- For Falooda, boil vermicelli in hot water till cooked. Transfer to cold water & chill it for 1-2 hr.
- For Mango puree, Blend mangoes & sugar to make a smooth puree. Refrigerate this also for 1-2 hrs.
- Once everything is chilled, we need to form layers to serve it. Basically all these preparations can be kept separately in refrigerator for 2-3 days to enjoy later also.
- For serving, first in a glass spread some Rooh afza on sides, pour some mango puree, phirni, falooda, some rooh afza, then chopped mangoes, then phirni, falooda, some more mango puree, last little phirni Or you can do in any order adding all flavours.
- Last but not the least, top it with fresh chopped mangoes & your favourite cut dried fruits/nuts. Enjoy.
